bernie larsen, singer/songwriter/guitarist/composer/producer was an original member of El Rayo-X, David Lindley’s legendary band. The scope of his creative range is evident in the variety of artists with whom he has played and recorded, including Melissa Etheridge, Jackson Browne, Rickie Lee Jones, Lucinda Williams, and Public Enemy.

Beyond work as a producer and composing music for film like Jennifer Anniston’s “Friends With Money”, and “Elsewhere” starring Anna Kendrick.. and his other musical vehicle reggae band Cry on Cue, which at has toured to support acts such as the Wailers, Jimmy Cliff, Desmond Decker, and Mutabaruka, and whose latest release.Love + Trust, is the result of a collaboration with renowned reggae producer Karl Pitterson, whose recording credits include such reggae greats as Bob Marley, Burning Spear, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer and Toots and the Maytals, his time is split between those projects and what he describes as “seated soul”, or his solo works. His new record “Out Of Reach” is of the off center singer/songwriter type that is usually aggressive rhythmic acoustic, sided by softer darker textures.
These are more often than not melodic and ragged one take versions of songs that are more about the heart.
